Featuring 60 pupils from the second to fifth school years, the youth choir of the Lycée Français de Vienne was founded in 2022 at the initiative of Claude Brendel, a music teacher and choirmaster. It has performed outside the school, e.g. in 2023 at the MuTh concert hall as part of the “Wiener Jugendsingen” youth choir festival, and in 2024 at the Vienna Konzerthaus with choirs and orchestras of the Vienna University Philharmonic. The choir pays particular attention to its choice of repertoire in order to cover a wide range of musical periods, aesthetics and cultures.
