The choral association, Nordbahnbund, is a four-part mixed choir that looks back on 150 years of history. It was founded as a Men’s Choral Society in 1875 by employees of the Emperor Ferdinand Northern Railway.
The musical focus is on (historical) workers’ songs, songs from Vienna and Floridsdorf from Strauß to Molden and all things related to the railway – e.g. the “Bundesbahnblues” (Federal Railway Blues) – or water. The latter is owed to our summer rehearsal spot by the Old Danube.
