The word IPHARADISI is a Zulu word meaning “paradise”. The spiritual with the same name was one of the choir’s first songs and became its signature tune. The choir has around 40 enthusiastic singers, ranging in age from teens to 70-plus. The choir enjoys singing gospels, folk and Viennese songs, pop, classical and sacred choral music, as well as a range of creative, alternative arrangements. The choir’s motto: “We clearly prioritise the joy of making music over the pressure to achieve perfection.”
