“Chorvereinigung Finanz” was founded in 1971 by Walter Kabela at the former tax office for Vienna’s 6th, 7th and 15th districts. The occasion for this was the retirement of the head of the tax office. Several colleagues, who enjoyed singing, prepared a worthy farewell with the song “Feierabend”.
Ever since, more and more music-loving members have found their way to us. Directed by Martin J. Garand, our repertoire spans a wide spectrum from Renaissance and classical music to operettas and modern music. The choir particularly enjoys performing at social and church events.
