This year, the Kispest mixed choir “Gyöngyvirág” (lily of the valley) from the Budapest district of Kispest celebrated its 55th anniversary. With a repertoire spanning across all periods, from Gregorian melodies to the world of jazz, the choir has always endeavoured to preserve its very own individual character. At church music and international choir competitions, it has been awarded gold medals by expert juries, including in the category of jazz. Since its foundation, the choir has taken part in numerous Hungarian and European choir competitions and festivals.
