Conventus Musicus is a mixed choir that was formed in 1983 in Hietzing. The choir, which is made up of close to 25 enthusiastic ladies and gentlemen, is seeking reinforcements in every register. It meets every Tuesday for weekly rehearsals at the Orthopaedic Hospital in Speising.
Elisabeth Kirchner has been leading the choir since February 2017, with Regina Linhart as its new chairwoman since 10 January 2017. Its repertoire extends from classical choral works to masses, folk songs and German-language pop. Much of this is performed a capella.
