The choir enjoys singing gospels\, folk and Viennese songs\, pop\, classical and sacred choral music\, as well as a range of creative\, alternative arrangements. DESCRIPTION:The Wiener Männergesang-Verein was founded in 1843 and is among the oldest male voice choirs in the German-speaking world. The choir is a co-founder of the Musikverein building\, where performances in the Golden Hall are a highlight of any artist’s career. Emperor Franz Joseph described the Wiener Männergesang-Verein as “my beloved court minstrels”. Our repertoire ranges from sacred works and Viennese music\, to Austrian and international folk songs and contemporary music. “Wiener Sängerrunde” has already performed at more than 1\,000 events and has completed over 20 tours\, travelling to many European countries as well as to Israel\, South Africa and China.

DESCRIPTION:In November 1863\, the “Schubertbund Teachers’ Choir” was founded by Franz Mair and renamed the “Vienna Schubertbund” in 1922. In 1935\, the male-voice choir\, which is still highly regarded today\, gave a concert in Rome before Pope Pius IX with 500 singers. Renowned composers such as Richard Strauss\, Wilhelm Kienzl and Franz Lehár have dedicated important works to the Wiener Schubertbund. The highlights of the choir’s activities are the “Schubertiads”\, which take place every spring in the house where Franz Schubert was born.

The choir also enjoys performing works by Austrian composers\, and in so doing\, celebrates cultural diversity. The choir has received great acclaim for its performances in Vienna and many other Austrian cities.

DESCRIPTION:The A Cappella Chor Donaufeld was founded in January 1988\, and in the 37 years of its existence\, has compiled an extensive repertoire that ranges from sacred works to the modern period as well as secular pieces such as folk songs\, popular music and musicals. The choir participates in numerous events in Vienna’s choral scene\, accompanies church services\, gives its own concerts\, organises Advent events and has been a regular at the International Advent Singing Festival at Vienna City Hall for many years. Since the end of March 2025\, the choir has been singing under its new director\, Antonio Lizarraga-Lopez.

DESCRIPTION:‘We are a colourful\, diverse community – united by our love of music.’ Blind\, visually impaired and sighted people of all ages and different nationalities sing together\, which makes it something very special. Everyone treats each other with openness and attentiveness. This is one of the reasons why singing in this choir is so wonderful and heart-warming\, regardless of differences. Since its foundation in 2012\, the choir has organised many interesting concert projects with interactive audience participation and concerts together with other choirs.

DESCRIPTION:“Chorvereinigung Finanz” was founded in 1971 by Walter Kabela at the former tax office for Vienna’s 6th\, 7th and 15th districts. The occasion for this was the retirement of the head of the tax office. Several colleagues\, who enjoyed singing\, prepared a worthy farewell with the song “Feierabend”.\nEver since\, more and more music-loving members have found their way to us. Directed by Martin J. Garand\, our repertoire spans a wide spectrum from Renaissance and classical music to operettas and modern music. The choir particularly enjoys performing at social and church events.
