SUMMARY:Coro Castel Rocca
DESCRIPTION:Founded in 1971 in Madrano as a parish choir\, the Coro Castel Rocca later expanded its repertoire with the addition of sacred\, polyphonic and folk music. Over the years\, it has performed in Italy and abroad\, including in Prague\, Budapest and Vienna. The choir celebrated its 40th and 50th anniversaries with concerts and special events. Each year\, the choir hosts an Epiphany concert and a spring festival to encourage a lively exchange with other choirs. It is directed by Maestro Sartori Moreno and President Antonietta Leonardelli.

DESCRIPTION:Featuring 60 pupils from the second to fifth school years\, the youth choir of the Lycée Français de Vienne was founded in 2022 at the initiative of Claude Brendel\, a music teacher and choirmaster. It has performed outside the school\, e.g. in 2023 at the MuTh concert hall as part of the “Wiener Jugendsingen” youth choir festival\, and in 2024 at the Vienna Konzerthaus with choirs and orchestras of the Vienna University Philharmonic. The choir pays particular attention to its choice of repertoire in order to cover a wide range of musical periods\, aesthetics and cultures.

DESCRIPTION:Founded in 1956 by Jaroslav Dostalík PhD\, Mladost was quick to rise to the top ranks of European choirs. Fifteen years later\, Dostalík was forced to leave the choir for political reasons and Mladost ceased to exist. In 1996\, some former members initially revived Mladost as a mixed choir\, and it became a female-voice choir in 2010. The choir is now led by David Šmíd\, who is studying to become a conductor at the Brno University of Music and Performing Arts (JAMU). Mladost showcases its broad repertoire at concerts and in choir competitions both at home and in other European countries.

DESCRIPTION:The Choral Society “Jung Wien” was founded in 1946 by Prof. Leo Lehner. In a city devastated by war\, the choir was formed in the hope of creating a new\, young Vienna. Its most notable concerts to date have taken place in the Golden Hall of the Vienna’s Musikverein and in the Wiener Konzerthaus. The ensemble has toured Europe\, Israel\, Canada\, Asia and the USA\, and boasts a repertoire including sacred and secular works from all eras up to the modern day. Nevertheless\, the choir’s core repertoire is made up of pieces from the Viennese waltz and operetta era. The choir is led by Robert Feichtinger.

DESCRIPTION:The Duhallow Choral Society was founded by Brigid Daly in Newmarket\, Cork on 6 March 1996 with the aim of promoting choral music and culture in the Duhallow region. With around 90 members\, the choir sings church\, pop\, classic and traditional music with television coverage. It has performed on prestigious stages in Austria and abroad – including in Belgium\, Rome\, New York and Chicago – and has sung for eminent figures such as President Michael D. DESCRIPTION:The singers of “Persephone Choir” have been performing both sacred and secular music for many years\, with a repertoire ranging from Renaissance and classical to contemporary and pop. Exciting choir projects in recent years have included Fauré’s Requiem in Vienna and Mariazell\, Christmas concerts with an orchestra\, as well as Carmina Burana and Carmina Austriaca in Gars am Kamp. Alexander John Riaño took up the post of choirmaster in January 2024. Following a successful “Musical World Tour” in June 2024\, this year the tango mass\, Misatango by Martin Palmeri\, was sung with great enthusiasm and rhythm.

DESCRIPTION:The TirolerHeimChor is an offering from the ‘Tiroler Studentenheim’ for residents who love to sing. In the past\, external choir directors were hired until composer Matthias Eberharter moved into the residence in the winter semester of 2023 and took over the direction of the choir. Year after year\, choir rehearsals and the concert calendar are filling up more and more. The singers come from a wide variety of academic backgrounds: from landscape planning to technical physics\, philosophy and composition – their (South) Tyrolean roots and love of music are the common thread.

SUMMARY:Musicantus Mädchenchor
DESCRIPTION:The “Musicantus Girls’ Choir” comes from Szentendre in Hungary. Under the musical leadership of Ágnes Bokorné Forró\, the choir was honoured with the “Pro Urbe Prize” by the city of Szentendre\, and with its 45 pupils from the Music School of Szentendre\, it attained the “Gold Award” in the Hungarian choir assessment system in 2019\, and the highest level award – the gold medal with distinction – in 2024 and 2025.  The choir’s repertoire includes sacred and secular choral music as well as modern pieces composed specially for the choir.

DESCRIPTION:The “1. Wiener Gemeindebauchor” (1st Viennese Municipal Housing Choir)\, an initiative of the “Wohnpartner” neighbourhood service\, was founded in 2008. At the start of 2025\, a dedicated young woman\, Nelli Goncharuk\, took over as director of the choir. Rehearsals take place weekly in the 10th and 22nd districts of Vienna. With close to 70 members\, the choir’s motto is “singing makes hearts beat in time”\, underlining the significant contribution that the choir makes towards creating a good neighbourly atmosphere in the community. The Gemeindebauchor performs at numerous events and is the opening act at the International Advent Singing Festival.
