DESCRIPTION:The Vox Dunaris choir from St. Paulian High School of Arts in Drobeta-Turnu Severin in Romania was founded in 1958 and brings together pupils with a talent for music from all over the city. The choir has participated in many cultural and performing-arts events at municipal\, district and state level\, and won numerous accolades for the precision of its voices and the quality of the repertoire it performs. It has been taking part in the International Advent Singing Festival in Vienna for many years.

DESCRIPTION:“Wiener Sängerrunde” is a mixed\, four-part choir with around 50 active singers at present.\n Founded in 1978 by Karl-Hans Straßl (a student of Prof. Leo Lehner)\,\nwho also directed the choir\, his son Karl-Gerhard Straßl took over in the year 2000 as principal choirmaster\,\nwith Karl-Hans Straßl as assistant choirmaster. Our repertoire ranges from sacred works and Viennese music\, to Austrian and international folk songs and contemporary music. “Wiener Sängerrunde” has already performed at more than 1\,000 events and has completed over 20 tours\, travelling to many European countries as well as to Israel\, South Africa and China.

DESCRIPTION:The First Methodist Waco Choir is a lively group of singers of all ages and backgrounds. The ensemble has an extensive repertoire\, ranging from choral music classics to modern radio hits\, and sings at worship services at the First Methodist Church of Waco every week\, accompanied by an orchestra. The First Methodist Church was founded in 1850 on the banks of the Brazos river in the heart of Texas\, and is the oldest church in Waco and in McLennan County. Singing has always been an important part of the church’s history.

SUMMARY:Wiener Schubertbund
DESCRIPTION:In November 1863\, the “Schubertbund Teachers’ Choir” was founded by Franz Mair and renamed the “Vienna Schubertbund” in 1922. In 1935\, the male-voice choir\, which is still highly regarded today\, gave a concert in Rome before Pope Pius IX with 500 singers. Renowned composers such as Richard Strauss\, Wilhelm Kienzl and Franz Lehár have dedicated important works to the Wiener Schubertbund. The highlights of the choir’s activities are the “Schubertiads”\, which take place every spring in the house where Franz Schubert was born.
