SUMMARY:Chor der reformierten Kirchengemeinde Alsóörs
DESCRIPTION:The choir of the Reformed Church of Alsóörs was founded in 2016 by parents whose children attended the reformed primary school. Its repertoire encompasses Hungarian and international choral compositions\, folk song adaptations\, church music and well-known contemporary songs. It performs at festivals and church events\, and takes part in multiple choir meetings in the Carpathian Basin. Twice a year\, the choir holds a grand concert with guest artists in the 13th-century Reformed Church in Alsóörs.

DESCRIPTION:The “Popchor Wien” is all about passion\, focused work and the joy of singing and performing together. The choir rehearses pop songs entirely by ear. From performances at “Singen in den Gärten” or the “Summer of Culture”\, as a supporting act for Beat Poetry Club\, to music at Christmas markets – the programme is colourful and varied! Popchor Wien has appeared on the Austrian TV talent show “Die große Chance” and has sung to sold-out audiences twice in Vindobona. The choir’s own projects such as flash mobs and music videos complement their repertoire.

DESCRIPTION:Founded in 2003 by André Comploi and under the musical direction of Mathias Crazzolara since 2020\, the Vienna-based choir “cantus iuvenis” invites its members to come together and sing. Its repertoire ranges from classical to modern choir music\, from sacred to secular – with musical diversity always taking centre stage. One of the choir’s priorities is to promote the Ladin language\, which it does primarily by rehearsing and performing Ladin choir music.

SUMMARY:Armonia Choir
DESCRIPTION:“ARMONIA”\, the choir from the Greek Catholic parish of “Holy Apostles Peter and Paul” in Kagran\, was founded in the spring of 2022 at the initiative of Mr. Bogdan Gabriel Popescu and with the active support of the parish priest\, Father Ovidiu Pintea\, and the parishioners\, who wanted to enrich sacred singing in Kagran. The choir has performed concerts for the Greek Catholic communities in Wiener Neustadt and Vienna. The choir strives to convey harmony and peace of mind to its listeners\, in both its sacred music and its traditional Romanian songs.

SUMMARY:Chorvereinigung „Jung-Wien“
DESCRIPTION:The Choral Society “Jung Wien” was founded in 1946 by Prof. Leo Lehner. In a city devastated by war\, the choir was formed in the hope of creating a new\, young Vienna. Its most notable concerts to date have taken place in the Golden Hall of the Vienna’s Musikverein and in the Wiener Konzerthaus. The ensemble has toured Europe\, Israel\, Canada\, Asia and the USA\, and boasts a repertoire including sacred and secular works from all eras up to the modern day. Nevertheless\, the choir’s core repertoire is made up of pieces from the Viennese waltz and operetta era. The choir is led by Robert Feichtinger.

SUMMARY:Mladost
DESCRIPTION:Founded in 1956 by Jaroslav Dostalík PhD\, Mladost was quick to rise to the top ranks of European choirs. Fifteen years later\, Dostalík was forced to leave the choir for political reasons and Mladost ceased to exist. In 1996\, some former members initially revived Mladost as a mixed choir\, and it became a female-voice choir in 2010. The choir is now led by David Šmíd\, who is studying to become a conductor at the Brno University of Music and Performing Arts (JAMU). Mladost showcases its broad repertoire at concerts and in choir competitions both at home and in other European countries.
