Magic of Advent in Vienna 2010
Each year an enchanting yuletide fairytale plays out in the heart of Vienna, between City Hall and the Burgtheater — the Magic of Advent in Vienna with its famous Christmas market.
Austria’s best-known and child-friendliest Christmas Market will be open to visitors of all ages from November 13 to December 24.
During Advent there is no better place to take a romantic stroll than the beautifully decorated Rathauspark. The famous Vienna Heart Tree with its 280 heart-shaped lamps, the Post Office in the Clouds and the Christmas Express are just some of the highlights that await visitors at the Magic of Advent.
The little ones make a beeline for City Hall and the Christmas Workshop where they can try their hand at baking and arts and crafts to their heart’s desire. Their homemade Christmas gifts are treasured by parents and grandparents alike.
